I met Luben last night, fortunately the rain and snow held off long enough to get a couple of hours shooting in. I really enjoyed the evening, here's a couple of shots of/around Reading Bridge.

    Beautiful shots Gubbs!

I prefer the bluish tint over the yellowish.

Sounds good to me! When?? thumb.gif

    Thanks NIR

I've been reworking, I'm always doing this, I'm so impatient I need to spend more time trying things. I took 2 exposures off the raw and blended these to pull out the church and the bridge reflections..

The reflections under the bridge are beautiful, and I really like the church looming up from behind.

Just to be different, I like this one. Love the warm tone to it.

Most night shots feel cold to me. This one feels nice and warm.

Lynn, iso100/ f13/ 20 secs/ 28mm - The water was very still anyway then the long exposure time polishes it up. In post I did blur the pubs reflection slightly as I thought the bright strips of light were a little harsh.

    Nice work Jon,

I love the colours of the first shot (purple sky) and I like the framing of the second shot (you got the bridge plus half the TW building).

I see you also got a shot of me standing gormless by my camera :-) I wan't be thanking you for that!!!

I like your Henley shot. There is less noise pollution in the sky & as a result the scene looks cleaner & more contrasty.

    Good work all round.

    Thanks for all the comments,

Aaron, the first couple are taken at Reading Bridge, over the Thames in Reading, Berks UK, The building is the new HQ for Thames Water, the areas main water utility company.

The second 2 are are taken on either side of the Henley bridge, again over the Thames but about 10miles up river in Henley on Thames, Oxon. (Home of the famous Henley regatta)
