Was in Mancos (between Durango and Cortez)for a couple of days. Left everyone sleeping in the hotel one morning and went off in search of critters that we don't have in NJ. Was pretty lucky.

There was a group of 13 in my cousin's hay field

    Did you use the 70-300 DO IS lens on this one?

    It just looks like the kind of OOF background I get with mine.

    I really like this one in particular. Too bad the birds head wasn't turned a little to the right so we could see his head better. Even so....NICE.

    Sorry I should have posted the equipment info. I shot these with the Canon 100-400 IS L.
    I LOVEiloveyou.gifiloveyou.gif this lens and rarely take it off my camera. (Canon 20D)

    I do have one shot with the birds head in profile, but the cricket does not show as much. iny, menie, miny...
