I'm considering selling some of my work at some art shows.

Any suggestions on how to go about creating prints, maybe 11x17" or something to that effect?

Creating posters from images is a bit new to me but I think it would be relevant to a lot of photographers on the forum, since we see breathtaking images here every day! :lust

thx!
is now gone. i have no time for cliques and fan clubs.

What i do to print larg from small file

once i tried 10"x15" from 1280x1024 and it was really pleasing

1 .Photoshop > New > select your image size 11x17 > increase the DPI to max what your computer can handle :):
2 .Drag your picture on to new canvas and increas the size and press enter see the print preview if any aritfact remove it in noise reduction software and see print preview any visible flaws heal them

Thats what i did and print is hanging in beauty parlor clap.gif but this is what i did i am not a pro lets see what our pro members advice thumb.gif

It is a generally held belief that you shouldn't upsize an image in one step. Some subscribe to stair step resizing and/or similar methods. Some don't believe it makes a difference.

Here are a couple of pointers

Unless the image is heavily cropped and/or from a < 4-megapixel digital camera, upsizing wouldn't really even be an issue for an 11x14 print.

BTW, I've bought quite a few 12x18 lustre prints from Costco, quite often from a cropped image out of a Canon 20D. I think they're only $3 and they come out great.
