Hi Ben, great idea, but I think it could be a little brighter to show more contrast, so its a double whammy . Try adding more contrast?? And can you crop the bottom off, just above the little noisy stuff.
the top of the photo looks like there was a mistake when the camera wrote it to the memory card. so I might retake it with a little more focus and clarity.

and I don't know if this was part of your idea, but maybe just a tad bit of dusting? kinda distracting to me.

man that is hard to shoot. i like the bokeh youre trying to apply to the photo. i wouldnt just try to get a shot of the word though, try getting a shot of the entire guitar somewhere with full of light, maybe outside! get playful, dont stick with just one part of the guitar. good luck!
