Denny Crane. :D Nice set William. Love the noise these birds make when they fly overhead.

    They are lovely birds!

I don't have any! They are really gorgeous, and you captured them well.

Beautiful shots. I like that you have covered many angles and behaviours so I can get a real sense of the bird, and also sense that the photographer really SAW the bird. Really nice work :)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Very nice! Is that a mating dance in #2? These guys/gals come to this area in the spring, but I do not remember seeing such strong colors on them.

The protraits in the last two are also excellent. Beautiful details.

Thank you Tess, it was exciting to be up close and personal with these birds. I've never been around them, and was supprised they allowed me in so close, about two feet! I was with them about an hour, so we became friends. Also I have a few more which I will post later at the risk of boring people with more of the same.

Great, great, just great. clap.gif Amazing birds.

There were two in the field behind my daughter's apt. in WI every a.m., but they were about 1/4 mile away. Even w/my 100-400, I couldn't get a good shot.

Thanks Cinda, on your next opportunity keep trying, and walk up to them slowly, they don't seem to mind.

Thanks Lisa, the first one was very pretty to me as well. It however, seems to be missing on my computer, does any one know where it went?

Does that mean you think I'm nice, because the only things that has come to the pond lately is me :D:D However, I did see a single Osprey there on Friday, and the Hawk, so maybe we'll see more birds soon. Even though #1 seems to be missing (at least from my computer) I like it a lot, but #2 is probably my favorite. I've been traveling a lot lately, but I may be around for a while, at least until the fall. Hope to see you, and Ben out there soon. :): :):

    Beatiful series, well done!

I would clone the bottom-left corner out in the 2nd pic.

    Thanks for sharing.
