    Thanks for the kudos. I was lucky. Would have been even better if the bee was just south of the tail in open space. Maybe I will keep trying. This hummer guards the flowers on the Mimosa tree all day. He chases the other hummers too but that is really high speed action.

    I did a quick boost of saturation from the original post. I have not even played with the RAW file yet - this is from the JPG.

    Great capture I wish the bee were two inches Higher then the contrast of the hummers breast would really bring it out.

    Really nice color. I have yet to see one with that much brown. The ones around here run to either green or light grey, mostly green.
