Tree Swallows
This morning I had the privilege of attending a Nature Photography workshop by Calumet Photo and led by Todd Gustafson. Todd is a Nikon Pro and has been published many times, including National Geographic magazine. He is a wonderful man and was very helpful to all experience levels that attended the workshop. The main focus of the workshop was long lens photography and also Macro. To all the Nikon shooters out there, this was a workshop that would have made you drool. Calumet provided Nikon bodies and glass, including multiple 600 f/4's for our use. Even though the workshop was focused on Nikon gear, the techniques and processing are universal. So enough of my rambling, here is my favorite shot of the day. Hope you like it, and if you have the chance to take a workshop in your area you should jump at the chance.

Swallows have to be among the hardest to capture.....and here you have a regular convention going on.
I've been watching that shutter speed.

Oh! I was talking about my shots.
After you told me to keep it over 1/400.....I've been trying to do it.
That was you....right?
How many attended? Where was it held?

Outstanding shot .
Its alway great to do a workshop. No matter how much one thinks they know there is always something more to learn. The info you picked up will be a starting point for further development as you take what you learned and adapt it towards your shooting style.
When you get a chnace maybe you could post a more detailed report on the training in a review format.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
