That's right, I'm sooo excited
Next week I'll be visiting one of the ( for me ) greatest cities in the world... also leaving the ancient continent for the first time in my life!
Of course, I'd love to hear all you have to say on the subject :
As far as gear goes... D70s, 2.5Gb's in CF cards, 18-70mm, hama el cheapo tripod. I'm planning on buying the 50mm 1,8 and the sigma 70-300 APO ... seriously cheaper over there.
Thanks in advance everyone :thumb

Give me some help - what questions do you have

Well, I think we already have an outline of what we want to see, but some "inside" tips on things that usually don't get mentioned but are really worth a visit would be awsome. Also, where would you buy the gear ? B&H ? Would you, as a tourist, walk around with the camera wherever you want day and night ? Also, I'm a bit concerned about getting the CF's to a DVD almost every day... but I'm guessing that isn't a real issue, is it ? I have to get a power plug converter... or whatever they're called :P ASAP... Also... what time do museums usually open/close ? Open every day ?

South Street, Battery Park, Financial District, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, Midtown, Central Park, so much to see!
Don't worry about carrying your gear, you'll be fine.

Poughkeepsie and up the Hudson is nice this time of the year.
You'll be like a kid in a candy store for sure!
Hope you have a good and safe trip!
