Not being prepared

Couple weeks ago I took my lunch break at a local park.30D 400 5.6 and momo pod.It was hotter than....Didnt think I would see much.
Well........this guy was eyeballing me. Not shy at all.I fired away,but didnt come out with any keepers.The lighting was bad and I had to crank up the ISO.Why the heck didnt I have my tripod and flash with better beamer.:dunno
This is the first time I have seen an owl in its natural surroundings.
Dont even know what kind it is.
Ahyhoo,these are so bad that I wasnt going to post them.Maybe next time I will be prepared.

I wish we had something like that in our parks.. Never saw a live owl in the wild..
