I have been looking at flash/light meters for some time and had been interested in the Sekonic 358. Today I got an email from Adorama about a sale on the JTL LM-8. I have done some research and it looks like the specs are close to the 358 for a lot less money. Has anyone had any experience with this company and especially with this light meter. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There is not a lot a discussion of the JTL LM-8 that I can find on the web. I did find this brief discussion on photo.net

I have a Sekonic L-358 and it seems robust, durable and accurate. I suspect is will be serviceable for years.

I REALLY like the add-in transmitter to fire Pocket Wizard strobe connectors too. That is what convinced me to buy the Sekonic L-358 the ability to add the PW wireless trigger.

I also have the Sekonic. Last year, I added the PW trigger (very handy).
Sekonic's been around making it a bit more attractive (at least to me).

If you're looking for a cheaper meter than the sekonic 358, you might consider buying the 308 one.

I own it and it's real pleasure to use. Small but efficient.

The one thing thing I miss is the ability to catch pocket wizard but, yet, this ain't no real issue to me ;)thumb.gif
have a quick look at my portfolio (there's a photolog, too) :: (11-07-2006) experiencing a new flash portfolio. What do you think?
