Questions About Comments

I apologize if this has been covered previously. I did search and could not find my answer, prompting this post.

1. When a person enteres a comment on an individual picture, will I be notified somehow?

2. How can I see just the pictures people have commented on?

3. Same questions For Gallery Comments?

Hi Matt, and welcome to Dgrin! No question too large or small. Thanks for searching first! OK so in your control panel, near the top, look for "comments" and then you can see all your comments, manage them, and also turn on "comment notify" email there. Every comment, you'll get an email! Works for pic and gallery comments. Here, you can also see all the pics that folks have commented on

Same here... I did do a search first to find this and I'm still not seeing where I can be notified of comments. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I'm one of the SmugMug Support Heroes and will be happy to help. Even with a Standard account you can be notified when a comment is left. First, make sure you are logged in. Then click on the "Control Panel" button and open the "Settings" tab. Here a lillte ways down you'll see your email address and next to it this: Mail preferences: change Click on the "change" link and new screen will pop up. On this page you'll see the following:

Comments: Yes: No: Get email when someone comments on your photos?

Select the "Yes" radio button and then hit the "Submit" button. Now anytime a visitor leaves a comment you'll receive an email notificaiton. I hope this helps. Please reply if you still run into any trouble.
