First Hummingbirds
After several hours of trying to get a decent shot of one of the little monsters, I finally got a few that I think are *okay* enough to show. Taken tonight after work - literally as I was about to give up for the night. I actually had the camera released from the tripod when I heard the distinctive fluttering/buzzing noise, so I froze. Luckily they came back - all 5 or 6 shots I actually got were all within a 10-15 minute span. I prefocused the camera where I hoped they would show up, which I had a hand in, because I blocked the other feeding ports with toothpicks. These are my first ones that I felt like showing - hopefully I'll get some better ones with more practice.
Any comments or advice on how to improve? Don't worry about being nice - trying to learn!
Oh, and I already know tip # 1 - don't get the feeder in the photo! But, I was just glad to get something, so thought I'd share.
On with the pics:
This one isn't that great, but I like the pose - STICK 'EM UP!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
