Old Tractor

Saw this old tractor sticking it's nose out of an equally old shed while out driving. I thought that the rust, cedar boards, and mold made an interesting combination.

I love how the crank handle is in it ric..sort of an optimist owner. That shot is def worthwhile going back for when it has morning or late sun on it.

Gorgeous shot! clap.gif I'd love to see the contrast raised a tad to see the colors pop a bit more. They seem like they might have been richer....

Love "old stuff" in shots! This was definitely worth letting the hot air into your SUV for! rolleyes1.gif

Ric, I really like the shot. I'm into old things such as farm equipment, barns, cabins, etc. I would love to make a find like this one.

Like Gus said, I need to go back in good light.....and I will. I shot this with a long lens, so next time I'll actually get off my duff and use a wide angle lens.

They have a threshing bee coming up near me in 2 weeks. I may visit it. We used to go every year when I was a kid. It was fun for me and my Dad and Grandpa just loved that stuff.iloveyou.gif

Great shot! I don't know how much it would benefit from a wide angle shot though, although I'd be interested to see. I'd be tempted to go for more detail shots, like the McCormick-Deering on the front, or see if it has any dials (fuel, oil pressure etc.)

There are a few old tractors near me which I have a mental note to go back and visit in the right light :)
    I didn't sell out, I bought in.
