Ok, I put my alarm clock to 6.30 AM, woke up and the sky was sooooooo cloudy :wxwax. I returned to bed and heard the rain coming down. Had a breakfast and kept my fingers crossed. After few hours of heavy rain finally the sun kicked out the clouds, the sky opened up beautifully and off I went for some more practice on "nature shooting".
Here's a couple shots. Comments? Tips? Advices? :):

PS: it's also my first time I shot without B/W in my mind. This time I went for full color from the beginning.

PPS: on the first one I cheated a bit, cropped the shot to make it looks like I was very close when in fact I couldn't get any closer than my usual 3 foot (due to my camera not being able to focus on closer distance)

    And here's a crop on Mrs.Butterfly :):

PS: Is that some purple fringing I see on the wings?

Both shots are fine, the cropping worked well. The first is a bit too centered for me amd teh second is abit overexposed (two minor nits). Nice work thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hi Harry,
thanks a million for your tips. I was fully aware that the bee was too centered but after around 50 shots with the bee flyin' away I was desperately looking for a bee on flower shot! :):
I can see the overexposing in shot #2, tried to keep it controlled in camera (underexposing by 1/3) but the leaves were too dark. Any suggestion?

It seems but you can easily see it in full crop nice shots even without closeup lens thumb.gif
