I have already explained and apologized.....since I am aware.....there was no need for this.

You could easily push it off the first page by responding to others instead of wasting your time chastising me (where you have no place).
sorry about the name thing that was my mistake .if you are aware and you post there must be a need and pushing off is not my way --direct is my way !there is no need on your part to get pushed out of shape mine was a suggestion
not chastising .oh yea and this is my place
also Ric

What I need to do is wait and assemble several shots like Harry does.
Ric and Jeff take a break!!!! In the future I would appreciate someone PMing me before we start squabbling.
My preference is that instead of a member posting a series of one picture posts in quick succession is that they combine them into a single post. When I have seen someone make multiple one picture posts in a single daysI will usually contact them by PM and ask that they spread them out.
That's not the case here as Ric's threads were initiated over a 4 day period.
I do ask that we all consider the other folks playing here. I have lots of pics on my hard drive and I could probably do 8 single pic posts per day for a very long time. I try to limit myself to 3-4 threads per week to leave room on page one for others and I hope others will have the same consideration. If you see someone posting in a manner you feel is inconsiderate please PM me and I will resolve the issue as best I can.
That said, that's a nice capture Ric. You are having fun with your new glass. Its great when something gets those photographic juces flowing.

I love these little guys. I had never seen them until I planted some "golden sundrops", then we started seeing them eat the flowers. Then we got a thistle feeder, and planted some cone flowers. And we let the sunflowers from the other feeder sprout.
Now - as my husband says - we have hot and cold running yellow birds.
They move so quickly that it can be difficult to get a sharp shot of them. Congrats on this one.
BTW, what lens did you get? And thanks for the link!

Don't I know it! I've learned to wait for them to land where I want the shot and leave the rest alone. It's less frustrating and fewer shots to go over.

The 300 f/4 and the 1.4 TC...........you are welcome.
I think it would help the pic if you make a little adjustment at the black-poiny.
Thanks for sharing.
Dick.
I will revisit the original and see. I masked the black on this one a changed the exposure to draw out more detail in the shadows. I may have gone a bit too far.

I read a tip on how to get backyard birds on the Nature Photog site. So I was excited that it worked out for immediate gratification.
Thanks, Harry.

Always happy to help a fellow birder.
Nice down-to-earth advice on that site.
