she's my daughter, and she's 13. how did that happen?

tech details: shot with my 20d, lumiquest softbox attached on 580ex flash. two 420ex flashed into reflective umbrellas. 50mm f/1.4 lens aboard, f/6.3 1/60th second, iso 100. in post - convert from raw and a minor curves adjustment, that's it.

how do they grow so fast?

    They grow quickly :D

My niece turned 18 last year and her brother, 15. I remember holding them
both as babies--like it was yesterday.

    She's a beautiful young lady.

    Very pretty..
and I like the time line.

And your younger pictures look a little like Larry Hagman when he was doing I Dream of Jeanie.

    Just excellent, Andy!
Man, I think you've nailed the lighting here... Great control of the highlights and stuff, especially on critical areas like the nose and such. The sharpness is outstanding too. When I look at this photo, I see the combination of sharp lens, great camera body, lights and photographer working at its best.

Not only the technical stuff is awesome, but I think Anna looks quite relaxed. You definitely put her at ease, and one can see she really admires you.

Heh... I think it's the best picture of her I've seen from you, Andy! So congrats on the pics and especially the lovely daughter.

By the way: she has grown very fast indeed! I can only imagine your (sweet) hardship as a father!

    Take care!

Wow! How did I miss this thread?
    Andy,
These just blow me away! I just finished posting on another thread how I believe in retouching. Not here! With your lighting no retouching is needed. Of course she is beautiful and has a young fresh face. This is a beautiful natural portrait. You must be very proud. Don't blink, the wedding is just around the corner. mwink.gif
Congratulations on a beautiful daughter and a great photo. thumb.gif
