    Regretfully, all it takes to get the practice is a 500 mile trip for me. Up in my area of land-locked Alabama, egrets are few and far between and always guaranteed to be at least a 1/4 mile away. ...and to fly off as soon as something gets any closer. :cry

    I can understand that for sure as most of us can, but I know what you mean when these guys spot you, and in the park that I go to they are most times OK with you getting close to them as long as you don't move to quick at them.
