Sedona from Airport Hill

As Cottonwood is only 15 minutes WSW of Sedona, it doesn't take long to get into some spectacular scenery.

Sorry I only have one shot to share right now. I've got others that I want to tweak with Capture NX first, but here's a look at Coffeepot Rock (etc.) from a scenic pullout on the way up to Sedona's little airport.

No like?

Thanks! Now I just need to get a better camera! I've been struggling with what appears to be a tendancy toward soft scenery images even with high internal sharpening. I've recently learned (after two years of owning this camera) that it's a trait peculiar to Nikon E5400s.

And Shutterstock.com rejected my first 10 submittals :cry , but I wasn't surprised.

The one thing about the camera I have is that its complexity has prepared me for transitioning into the DSLR realm. And while the Nikon D2x camera that Andy said he sent me for my birthday apparently got lost in the mail :bs, now I have to scrape up whatever I can to settle for maybe one of Sony's new A100 DSLRs!

    But life goes on 9496500-Ti.gif

Wow, those buildings and homes in the foreground really give some perspective to the size of those gorgeous rocks!!!!

Uh-huh! The rocks are almost as large as the price of real estate there!

But you know, if I had to choose between spending $650,000 for a house in either Sedona AZ or Fontana CA, or DIE, I'd be LIVIN' in Sedona! deal.gif
