Just wanted to share. Here is a quick photo of my 40 X 60 image printed on canvas hung in the lobby.

I forgot to prepare the image for the web, and it looks pretty flat, so I tried to edit, and couldn't figure out how to delete, and repost. ?????

Hey! I remember that place :-D
It's great to see photos large like that :-D

Yep, that's the place. I seem to be drawn to making big prints. I'ts not the be all end all, but it is challenging, and fun. Many images seem to take on a new life when printed a little larger.

This was taken with a 5D and the 24-105L. Shot at 55mm with a 2 second exposure in RAW. Very slight crop on original image to align the horizontal elements.

Great job on the image and on selling the image to your superior.
Large images do have a way of "immersing" you into the experience, but you have to start with the right kind of image, something that has a message on a "whole" basis (global elements) as well as the "parts" (detail elements). It looks like this image qualifies in spades.
I hope this has your employer seeing you in a whole new light!

Thanks,
ziggy53iggy,
Very astute observation! While I work in a semiconductor facility, I don't have any training in this field, and occupy a pretty low position on the totum pole.
After seeing some of my photography, many do look at me like I am a real person now.
Many of us, including me, tend to look at what someone does for a living and make judgements. While it isn't right, it's pretty normal for us to do that.

Webster,
The image file is 3910 X 2607 pixels, jpg format, and is 9.3 MB. My printer has a RIP program to up res this image to the needed size. I think he used Genuine Fractels.
I hope this answers your questions.
