I want to start markeing myself as a photographer.
Currently I am at grassroots level, my options are open. I do not have a particular field as yet. I like to have my field options open now.
Having said that there are definate paths I could find myself down (if my luck ever came in!), but they are markedly different.
1stly i would love to be a photojournalist, doing international work and (forgive me If I sound woefully naive but have some trust) war photography.
2ndly a more fine art based angle of self directed stories/
3rdly more of the same leaning towards graphics.
lastly: commercial work which could pay the bills for ventures 1,2,3.
QUESTION is their a standard to conform to when choosing ou 'company' name.
eg for domain name> www. ********photography, www.*******photos
www.********imaging
see to me imaging sounds more graphical. would I send the wrong message if I wanted to push with photojournalism?
QUESTION are their design standard that people conform to when they are in one of the fields 1,2,3,4. If I look too graphic will that put off newsagencies?
I dont really expect a straight answer for no.2 but some dos and dont might be handy. Also links to some hot sites that represent a field or multifaceted approach would be...........the cheese.:D
