umm what are they.
I shot alot and my work is respectable i guees ... but i do very little to zero post-processing
I'm looking at the histogram just in iphoto and i have no clue what i'm looking for,
i just go by thats pleasing to me guidelines

In a nutshell, histograms are a plot of the amount of pixels at different brightness values in a given image. They are one of many tools for examining your image for proper exposure and understanding the distribution of color and tone through the image.
