Time to Love the Mountains

I have not posted recently due to a very busy travel time. My girlfriend is building a cabin in the mountains outside of Bishop, CA. It is at an elevation of 8200 feet. Between training hikes in the Santa Monicas (a lot of them) and eating right I have lost 30 pounds since the begining of the year. This makes hiking at over 9000 ft. much, much easier.

These shots are from hikes over the Fourth of July weekend. We were back again two weeks ago. The flower cover in the Sierra is absolutely mind blowing.

Great stuff. Really love the third one, but they are all good.

Thanks very much. Finding real estate is really tough, but there is plenty of camping.

Thanks Lee, if you love flowers the place makes you feel like a kid in a candy store. You find you can't get the grin (dgrin?) off your face.

    That 4th shot is beautiful
Great capture. The rest are very nice as well but that fourth one with the island gripped me. Most excellent. Can't wait to get my big camera!
