Mouse-hover on Dgrin thread display request

This amounts to a minor annoyance (by no means a major complaint)....
When I view the various forum pages to eyeball scan the latest threads, I use the mouse as a reference pointer as I move down the page reading the thread titles to see which ones interest me enough to explore in more depth.

The little pop-up box with the first few lines of text within the thread overlays a portion of the screen if I hover for more than a split second (good if I wanted more detail... but unwanted otherwise, mainly becuase once it pops up, it covers the next thread title and tends to stay there for a second or two).

What I've noticed is that the pop-up jumps out regardless of the mouse location anywhere within the "box" that includes the thread's title. If the pop-up box would only pop up if I hovered directly on the thread title link itself, it would make perfectly good sense to me, and be more user friendly, I think since I could avoid the pop-up annoyance by simply keeping the mouse off the link itself unless I actually want to see a bit more detail about it.

Hoping my description above makes sense...I had some difficulty trying to describe it consicely.

Must be browser based, since in Safari the pop up follows my cursor.

    You're right...it does follow cursor

David: indeed...the pop-up box does follow the cursor (shows up immediately below and to the right of it). So in the case of a fairly short thread title followed by a much longer title, the little pop-up box overlays a portion of the title below. I guess what I'm trying to say is I think it would be easier on the eyes if it did not pop up at all (unless you want it to, and hover directly atop the thread title).

(again...it's no big deal...so no big complaint/whine....just felt if it was an easy thing to "fix" software-wise, it would be a bit easier on my eyes/brain to take it all in).

So be it, then, Andy. At least now I know....and because I now know, what used to be a "minor annoyance" doesn't bother me one bit anymore! Thank you for taking a look at it, though. Papa

    Hi PapaJay

This may not be a great solution, but I use my cursor like you. If you follow with the cursor to the left of the threads in the gray column, the boxes do not pop up until you move over to the thread title. Takes a little getting use to, especially if you are right-handed like I am! :D
