Printer Profiles

I saw some printer paper that looked interesting - Canvas paper from Legion. The box said to log onto their site for printer profile downloads, but hey only have profiles for Epson & Canon printers. I have an HP.
When I printed on it the colors were not right. For example, the blues were much too deep.
Is there a way to develop my own profiles, or a place to look where I can somehow convert an epson or Canon profile for an HP Printer?
(Or do I just wait until I switch to an Epson printer?)
