Mom and three little ones came to visit on Sunday morning. They did not run away but watched me carefully and posed.

    Great pictures Steve.

I like the 2nd the most. Very good composition and very sharp. Well done.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Terrific shots, Steve. thumb.gif

The second one is National Geographic material!

When we were camping a few years back, I had one sitting next to me at the evening campfire like he was my pet. I wonder if the Oreos had something to do with that.rolleyes1.gif

    I've always wanted a Pet Racoon :D
I love their faces, hey look so intelligent, like a little bandit ready to rob some place.

Your Racoon family shots are gorgeous thumb.gif Skippy (Australia)

Excellent! I like #3 the best, for me I want to see tot he right of #2 to see the whole coon.

If I actually had a camera with Zoom, in June I saw mom coon up in a tree with 3 babies suckling in the crotch of a tree. It would have been a fantastic shot, but alas, I did not have the tools.

Thanks all - A while back they were in our plumb tree in the evening (having their evening snack) and our dog was going nuts. I went out to investigate with my flashlight. Stuck my head in the tree and came face to face with a not-so-happy momma coon. She hissed and spit, and lets just say I backed off quickly.

This time it was a more friendly encounter. Thanks for the comments, it was fun.

What magical moments. The one with them all lined on the tree would make a great postcard or poster.
