    Very sad. I find her expression difficult to look at. Nice job, Ian, this one's not easily forgotten.

    A powerful shot ... hard to look at ... makes one ponder about the haves and the have-nots and the fairness of our world.

    Just a suggestion that it could make this image be more powerful is to cropped tighter and eliminated some of the distracting clutter. Cropping from the right to eliminatethe red scooter (red is very distracting this crop would also place the subject off-center adding a dynamic to the shot), up from the bottom to where the pant merges with the tunic or to thigh level (cropping at joints is visually awkward) and down from the top to eliminate/minimize the white post emerging from her head. Then I would darken/burn in the head scarf and her face while adding a touch of contrast which would make the image a bit harsher.

    Once again... a powerful image ... good job.

    Her smile was also very appealing but did'nt manage to capture an image. Always very sad to see. Thanks for your comments....

    Very powerful picture even before I read about her asking for a dollar it pulled at the heart strings.
