It's been raining all week but we had some beautifull clouds. Unfortunately with a lot of buildings blocking the view. So we drove into the country to the island of Marken this afternoon to shoot some skies. The weather was great, all the dark clouds you see are hanging over the city.

    Awesome Shots!!

Some of them are a wee bit too tight at the bottom. Show some more ground, I think it adds to the perspective.

    Cheers

    Hollands Licht (Dutch Light).
Nice pics!!thumb.gif I would have preferred a little more foreground, though

Good to see some nice shots from my home-country :D

It is rumoured that the light in Holland has a special quality. Johannes Vermeer was a master in capturing it, in his hometown Delft.
    Here is more about it:

I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

Thanks for all the nice replies :):

And thanks for the advice to show some more foreground. I'll see what I can do.

Yes, I saw that documentary last winter. Slow as a slug with it's brakes on, but very interesting thumb.gif
