There was a parade in my town today. We have a rich culture base here. The native americans put some of their culture and regalia on display today, I was lucky enough to be there.
Here is a cute young lady displaying some awesome beadwork along with some great leatherwork and a fantastic hat!! I can't blame her for the waterbottle and sunglasses, at 10:30 in the a.m. it was already approaching 100 degrees.
Some real fine beadwork on display here........the cut beads are so tiny...I don't know how they string them together to make these designs.....talk about time consuming.......and all done by hand!
Just take a gander at the finery displayed by this beautiful young lady. Her horse has some wonderful garb also.............she was stunning in person I assure you!!!
Take note here of the eagle feathers and the eagle claw in his headpiece...native americans may have eagle paraphenalia..........no one else legally can.
I think this was my favorite photo of the day.........the tomahawk........the eagle feather fan, the handcarved whistle in his headdress........and his war paint.............what more could you ask for?
Thanks for taking the time to look! Comments are most welcome!!!
