I'll post a bit more later:
It was a beautiful day!
and the best thing is - we get paid for this! yes we do!
Right after this shot the Pilot turned to me and said, "would you like to do something fun?" Which turned out to be a steep spiral decent to a landing, which I must say was rather fun! He told me that it was the "Quickest way to lose altitude without pointing the nose of the plane straight down." I guess it's a technique they teach during commercial pilot training. Fun fun!
Taken with the new Tamron 18-200mm for Canon. I bought it hastily thinking if I don't like it I could exchange it after the flight. I was going to purchase the 75-300mm Canon with IS, but this is all they had. This lens, though not hefty like the L serise, felt like it was put together well and seems to have decent glass - more likely a middleweight. I kept the AP almost wide open and shot at ISO 200 and most of the shots came out sharp despite mild turbulence. I think I might keep the lens, for I feel it's actually not bad for the price (I have a 2 and a 3yr old, money is a bit tight now lol). It was perfect for Aerial, I didn't have to switch lenses, and I could zoom in and out on the property as needed. Anyhow, I know it's not top quality but I seem to like it.
