    Very nice photo

    Pros:
    • Good job seperating your daughter from the background
    • De-emphasising the background
    • Nice highlights in her hair
    • Nice smile (but, I think credit goes to your daughter for that :D)
    • Sharp focus on her eyes
    • Nice catchlight in her eyes
    Cons:
    • None that I can think of.
    Love the photo - I think you need to post more of this sort of work.

    Thanks Scott, appreciate the comments, they are very encouraging... been trying out different combinations of lenses and settings for the last year, starting to find some that work pretty well..... now I'm trying to achieve some level of consistency (I'm at about 30% I think!!!)

    Yeah, consistency. I also am in search of that holy grail. I went to your smugmug site to find the exif data on the OP photo and found this one. I think this is also a great photo that deserves attention.
