    Where exactly is this farm?
Neat shots of the chickens/roosters... glad they cooperated and posed nicely for you.

    Queens Farm, NYC
    Hello Dee,

these shots were taken all on the run, the chickens did not stop moving to pose for me. I was able to follow them with my Sony F-828's twist body in hand as a waist level finder. I used the built in flash to freeze the action.

    Glad you liked the pics.

The farm is in the boro of Queens, N.Y.C. on the Little Neck Parkway.

    Their site is www.queensfarm.org.

    Regards, Nicholas

Nick...i have been sitting here for 30 min going back & fwd over the 2 shots of the 'thing' I reconed i knew almost every old bit of farm machinery but you have me stumped on that. Just when i recon ive got it...'oh..it cant be that'

I will hopfully have an answer after xmas as i will show my father. It has a heavy reduction gearing on the back but plow feet on the front. The angles just cant seem to work for me.

    Ah,Queens, that explains it.

I used to live in Queens, where I figured they might have one last remaining farm, and Little Neck used to be suburban. I was having a hard time visualizing a farm in Manhattan, if it was not in Central Park. :-)

I have an 828 and use the swivel all the time!
