Much of the British Coal Mining industry is now just a memory.
This is an ongoing project of mine to try and document what is left before it is forever lost.

    Nice shots, im in Derbyshire so lots of these things around here, My dad worked in t' pit too.

    one little thing hope you dont mind me saying but I find your watermark a bit distracting it seems to be all over the place when viewed on the photos alltogether and the one on the 6th one down looks like its been wrapped to the surface underneath on purpose.

    I particularly like the wheel shot(#7) thats really nice.

    On a separate note, I think coal might make a comeback when oil gets too dear.

    You may well be right but most of our pits here in UK have gone never to return, only about 7% of coal in UK produced here. Thanks for your comments.
