Neon dragons at 1.6x life size
Time to put down the tubes and walk away... :huh These shots were taken with a 12mm and 25mm tube attached to my 100mm macro lens -about 1.6 times life size. Canon 20D in manual mode, F11, 1/250, ISO 200. MT-24 macro flash set to -1 1/3 under for most of the shots (I had to adjust the flash as I changed angles). Minimal post processing and no cropping.
Once I got him use to me and the camera I could pretty much move around at will -provided I didn't move to fast.
I try to catch them either feeding, mating, or cleaning since they'll let me get close if they are hungry or otherwise occupied :wink
At one point he started to clean himself, and they can turn their heads in some weird directions!
C&C always welcome :

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
High praise coming from as shooter of your skill Harry -thanks!
