San Diego Flora

I know nothing about plants, but there was a very nice arboretum (I think?) in San Diego's Balboa Park. Took a few shots I thought I would share - comments and suggestions are always welcome.

These guys were amazing, like a little party all to themselves!



Looking up to the central dome I once again lament my lack of a wide angle option. This is 28mm on a 1.6x body, about 45mm :wxwax



An orchid?? I have no clue - I just shoot 'em.



These flowers were almost glowing - they were really cool but I don't think I captured it.




There seemed to be a theme of things growing on other things - this poor tree's trunk was almost entirely covered but it seemed none the worse for it.

Thanks very much Harry. I'm about to post some amateur bird photos with no IDs, though I'm quite sure you might know them. San Diego's a phenominal place, I could spend 2 weeks there without running out of things to do and see.
