I have a previous entry in the challenge that was not from my home and I have received a few questions about that, although Andy said "No Sweat!" 11666779-M.jpg

But the day was very overcast yesterday and today, and created some nice soft light in the entryway to my home that I enjoyed. So I thought I'd give it a go again, and I shot two more images I will submit for criticism, hoots and hollers.
First is "Red Couch"

Second "My Shadow"

I'm like Ginger, I only get red X's. When I checked properties for the links, I noticed that all the links are to smugmug so you'd think it should work fine! I can copy the link to the address bar in Explorer and the picture shows fine, but refresh, etc. does not display the photos on this post (at least for me).

Anybody have an idea why this is happening?

I like the first one, Pathfinder, but wish the dark matter on the bottom left wasn't there, and that I could see all the legs touch the floor. Nice lighting.

I can't see the second pic, for some reason. headscratch.gif

Its weird! I got the url's from the source page and copied them into the address bar, (on firefox and ie) they then came up without a problem. Once they had been viewed individually they came up in the dgrin pages.

    Try it, the links are:-
    1
    2

Ginger, Gubbs, Lynn etc The computer gods are picking on me!! I can see from the comments that the images apparently are not being uplinked by smugmug in a timely fashion. I am sorryfor the technical difficulties, as I wanted a chance to chat about these pictures. umph.gif

I think the coding I submitted is correct as I can see the images and other have been able to at times also. Sunday seems to be a very busy time for smugmug for some reason. I know sometimes when I uplink images on Sunday evenings, it takes significantly longer than during the week.

I just posted these images Sunday evening, because I thought the light was nice. Heavy overcast outside made a lousy day for picture making outside, but a very lovely soft wrap around light in my entry way.

Sid - the dark area to the left lower corner was why I did not chose that image for the chalenge. I did kind of like the image but keeping from blowing the highlights on the right almost pushed the darker areas too dark. This was a single frame - I did not try creating two frames from the raw image and blend them since that would not have been PS limited usage.

I chose the canine companion because I knew Ginger and Lynn like dogs, and that little dog is my shadow - where ever I go, if she can , she goes also; just like a shadow.

No, I still can't see them, but I did go to the first source page and there was the dog on the stairs.

    I love that one!!

Is that the one you chose, Pathfinder?

I do love the way the dog appears to be waiting for you to come home.

ginger (you know what, I can see that one now, only that one. Do I go to each source page and the photo comes back with me??? Laughing.gif)
