Just messing around tonight took a few pictures. No special lighting- handheld- etc.

Yeah, eyes are way too "medical". And the crop, well, hum...

The portrait is ok, I guess: there's something spontaneous in it. But feel like you should have tried it whithout the flash.
have a quick look at my portfolio (there's a photolog, too) :: (11-07-2006) experiencing a new flash portfolio. What do you think?

I like the first shot best...the other two do look like something out of a medical text book. Can I ask what you shot with and it appears no flash?

These were all very spontaneous- no set up, no lighting, just "Hey son!" Click, click. I see how these look "medical" though.

As far as the crop I guess I should have added this one as well. I thought is was kind of neat how even with just an eye and eybrow, emotion or expression can be shown.

    Mandi- thank you.

I shot the portrait hand held with my Olympus E-500, 40-150mm, and pop up flash. The ceiling fan light and a floor lamp were the only light sources.

The "medical" shots were handheld with 14-45mm while my son was in the bath. Bathroom lights above mirror and pop up flash were light sources.

His eyes are like mine, they can very from a flat grey to a bright blue. Never know what they may be, but definetly receive a lot of comments about them.
