More dragons -backing off now...

There's only so much you can do when you're shooting above life size, so I backed off today and went looking to see what I could get. Minimal post processing and no cropping. Some shots in shutter priority, and some in manual mode.











OK, so I did get in close at least once... :wink

Really nice! This d-fly has such great color! Wish we had these. I especially like the 2nd and the 5th ones. I love when the lens is able to catch the light shimmering on the wings.
Which lens did you use on these?

Thanks! I'm gonna see if there are any critters in the abandoned lot where I use to shoot -it's rained a couple of times since it was last mowed. I'm getting tired of shooting dragons.

Canon's 100mm F2.8 macro -excellent color and contrast with that lens! I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I need the 180mm F3.5 L...
