Who cares? They can take or leave your price, and you're certainly not going to be giving your work away for free, which is what $2.99 is, to you.
Life is too short, IMO, to negotiate with these kids. Your prices are reasonable, sure they can order a print for 2.99, but a print of what? That's just the print, not your work, talent and time.

Just FYI, we have two catalogs: http://smugmug.com/prints/catalog.mg and http://smugmug.com/prints/catalog2.mg . If you're a pro and you keep the "prints and gifts" link in your footer, we feed your custs catalog 2 (because you deserve more than $3!).
Visitors can still stumble across the priced catalog (from www.smugmug.com, for example). I hope that clears things up a bit.
