Focus stacked dragon

LordV (aka Brian) makes this look so easy! The idea is to take several photos, but each with a different plane of focus. Then you use a program like CombineZ5 to stack the images using the best focus of each one. Today was my first attempt at focus stacking a dragon, and I definitely need more practice...

Notice how much of the wing is in focus. I'm not sure if I like the effect -the eyes are not as sharp as I normally get them, and I'm just not use to seeing them this way...

Nice work, I have tried focus stacking also but got mixed results. Maybe I'll give it another try one of these days.

    Awais, try here CombineZ5.

You can also try doing a search for focus stacking on Dgrin, Brian has talked about it in the past.

You take several photos, but in each one you change the area that's in focus. Then you use that ConbineZ5 program to combine the best parts of each one. Search on this site for focus stacking -Brian (LordV) does it much better than I do!!!
