I am trying to download pictures of camera equipment into my site. I would like them as transparent PNGs, it works about half the time, the rest of the images appear in a white box. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks shane

Has to do with the size. We keep your original as a .png but the resize images (-L, -M, -S, -Th, -Ti) are turned into JPGs. If your original is less than 800px but more than 600px on the long side, then the Large is the Same as original.

    Resize
I have tried to change the size to original, but still the white box appears.

    Any other ideas?

Are you using IE6? IE6 can't display transparent pngs natively.

I have never heard IE6 before, does that have something to do with how you save in PH?

    No
I am using Safari/Mac. I am getting it to work some of the time with the PNGs. Does color space matter? Do I need to resize in PH?

It works for me in IE 6. When it first loads up it has a white box, but it disappears.

I think I figured it out. In the upload window I needed to select the original size before I uploaded the image not after it was already loaded.

    Thanks andy
