The second one is a great shot of the Cliffhouse, Bill.

I recognize the first from a couple of Ferry rides last week. You weren't this guy popping up with the camera in front of me, were you?rolleyes1.gif

I like the first shot a lot, is it me however, or is it wonky?

I think the horizon may be wonkingeek7.gif a little bit to the right in #1.

Did you take pic #2 from TI or were you on the bridge itself?

You are correct, I didn't notice that, Just a bit maybe. I corrected it...Maybe...

The picture of the Cliff House was taken while I was standing on the beach just down from it.
    Thanks

Like 'em both. Dislike the frames. The second seems overexposed to me. Some curves work for the foreground/background would be a good thing, I would think.

I agree with David on #2. Simply setting black and white points in the Curves menu would not only help correct the over-exposed sky in this photo but also would help bring out the rich colors of the cliff.

I tried to use white and black curve and I couldn't get it better.
    Thanks

Try using the Black, White, and Gray points at the bottom of the Curves menu, Bill. I can upload a quick version I made later this evening. Add a Shadow/Highlights layer and you have a dramatic increase in saturated colors.

Also check the DGrin "Making Your Images Pop" tutorials here in the "How To" section at the top of the forum thread.

Here you go, a quick 2-3 minute Curves and Shadow/Highlights adjustment before work.

Check the Pop tutorials here, Bill. They're straightforward, easy to follow, and will give you a quick way to fix desaturated colors and colors casts.
