    I like them all. thumb.gif

On the first one, it seems to me that there is too much of the castle in the foreground. Maybe if you stood on that short wall and got a little higher perspective? ne_nau.gif

Of course, if you suffer from vertigo, please do not try that!!! :D

    I don't suffer from vertigo.

Thank you for helping me to see how much of castle was in the photo instead of the city.
I can see now that you are absolutelly right.

    I'll go and re-shoot.
    Regards. :):thumb.gif

Hey, when you reshoot, go there in the evening. With the sun just below the horizon, you'd get city lights, a very nice blue in the sky, and a bit of light still on the city (with a long exposure.)

    Could be fun!

    Sid.
    Thank you so much.
It's a good ideia. the sun will be at my back at dawn.
I shot this picture during the morning - it was about 11 o'clock - because the weather is rather cast, with mist at the end of the day.
I wanted, as I said before to Nikolai, to go and shoot Arrábida, a small mountain nearby.
I have been there twice and I had to give up because of the mist late in the day.
Generaly in October the days are more clear at dawn... I'll have to go there then.
I'll take seriously your proposal of photographing the city at dawn. May be tomorrow I'll do it.
I'll have the time to do so.
My right finger is becoming a little rusty because it doesn't shoot for 2 days... It must exercise.

Sid I followed your sugestion and shot some pictures some hours ago.
As I was expecting there was a mist and much wind.
October is the right month for this but here we go:

I want to shoot even highter than here and with the 70-200mm for a different perspective.
I'll try if it works. Anyway I' ll have the 24-70mm nearby.
    Thank you for looking. :):
I almost forgot: in this shot I used a ND filter for low down the speed.

In the Fortress (I have been wrongly calling Castle) I shot others photos in the chapel.

Now that I look at the picture I can see I must improve the crop... eek7.gif

Looks good. I'd wait even later, for the sky to get a really dark blue, then pump it up in Curves. It takes on a glorious hue.

The chapel shots are very cool. thumb.gif

Yes! The higher perspective works. I see you went about it a little differently than I suggested...for the better, I think. thumb.gif

    Thanks Ric.
The site you suggested is not large enought for the tripod ...
And it is a little dangerous ...:):
