I went to the Air and Water show today for the first time. I met up with Engi45ne from Nikon Cafe (he's also on here but I forgot what his screen name here is) and had a good time. Frank picked the perfiect spot to shoot from and I think I got some decent shots. Here are two I processed so far. If you want to check the gallery I will be updating it as I go through the files and adding other galleries from the other performers. The gallery is here.

And yes, that is how blue the sky was. I barely edited anything on these shots.

2nd pic is great. I was there as well and am wading through 3GB's of pics. It was my first time shooting an air show so I'm hoping for a few keepers. At least it was a gorgeous day though. Picture perfect pardon the pun.

Nice shots there Nick. Can't wait to look at more of them.

Had I had the day off, I would have either been there with the other million people, or at the Downers Grove Criterium (bike race).

Only 3GB? I've got 8GB to go throughmwink.gif. The day was very nice, although it was a bit too cloudy in the morning. I've got a bunch of shots that would have looked a lot nicer with blue skies. I hope you'll post some of your shots when your through with them.

Thanks Skippy. I am lucky because this is one of the largest air shows in the US.

Thanks Awais. I like the 2nd better also but there was something about the 1st that I like. Maybe it's the lines?

The people really weren't that bad. As long as you get there early to get a good spot and don't move then it was fine.

That was the first time I'd filled both my cards. I only "ran out" of room at the very end of the Blue Angels so I was pretty close in my estimate. I'll be buying a few more cards before any future "event" shoots.

FYI: I posted some of the pics from the show.
