"Photo not found"

I was just in a gallery that I keep smilies in and I found that the three most recent are no longer there. both the thumbnail and the s/m/l images just display "Image not found".

Did you guys remove them or is there a problem?

:uhoh We've heard this a few times today. I've reported the problem. It would help if you could give a link and tell me if the images were gif/jpg/png ?

I'm having a similar problem with the first two ages of this gallery

I have around 5 shots showing "image not found" and then some of the other shots show a red X but the red X sort of floats to different pictures and never stays with the same image for too long.

Strange. I tried both Firefox and IE with no luck, last night, everything else in the gallery was AOK. This am it's just beautimous.

I know they aren't I just passed you the actually index, not the rest of the string (s/m/l stuff), since the url that was showing up was for a the "image not found" image that was being displayed.

I'm sorry this took awhile to actually get resolved. I believe we should be good at this point. Please let me know if you are still seeing missing images and we'll take a look.

What happened here was that we moved a server and didn't correctly reinstall (and verify) the storage after we were done. Checklists are being updated, and we're making sure we'll be more careful in the future.

Hmm, I'm looking around...more photos are gone it seems (look at the My Car gallery, one photo is missing). WTF?

It looks like we are having a technical hiccup with our image database. Rest assured that your photos are safe and our engineers are working to correct the problem as quickly as they can.

OK folks, again sorry, this was a similar problem to yesterday, and should be solved now.

Basically, the intern is getting a crash course in getting familiar with our infrastructure. He means well, but didn't notice a filesystem wasn't mounted when he moved a server. That was the primary for various photos a couple of days ago. Today, he moved the secondary server. You can see what happened. Both primary and secondary are fixed and moved, and everything is mounted and correct. And I now have a new monitoring script to write.

I have a "photo not found" in one of my smilie galleries, http://patch29.smugmug.com/gallery/1560866. It is not a big deal, but just wanted to let you know the problem is still out there.


I also noticed the "photo not found" icon this week at advrider, but thought it was just a maintenance thing, but now I don't think it was. I will post a link to it if I find it.
