I've had this little model for quite some time now just sitting in my room. I just thought of photographing it tonight! It's a 1:400 scale chrome model.

Nice one Red Bull........ would have liked to have seen the full wing in the shot, but gosh it sure does stand out the way you've captured it thumb.gif

What did you use for your back ground ??? Skippy (Australia)

Very striking, nice job. Personally, I like the shallow depth of field, but would like to also see the nose in focus, then have the focus tail off towards the end of the plane.

Thanks everyone. Skippy, I set the plane down on a sheet of paper, then I covered up the rest of the floor with white paper so I would get a nice white background.

This was the best one of the bunch. I'll probably try and take more. I got some with the nose in focus but this was the best of the bunch.

You could always try focus stacking... I think Lord V. wrote up a tutorial on that at some point...

I agree, nice shot. But I also want the nose to be in focus.

Ah, I'll definately have to try stacking. I completely forgot about it. Thanks for the tip, I'll try to find the tutorial.

Man! I thought my plane was the only one that didn't fly. :uhoh

I had a 747 model and a Blackbird....I think my blackbird is in the farm's pond. The 747 is somewhere on highway 83 as I lost it while hanging my arm out he window trying to give it flight!

Thankfully none of my planes have these same problems now.clap.gif

Neat photo=-- try a larger f-stop? Maybe the nose would come into focus.
