    I'm feeling more motion than stillness in the first shot.

    The second one looks sad. Homer would eat it anyway! It doesn't do much for me photographically, though.

    I concur with the previous comment...I see "busy bee motion" in the first shot. I know the guy is furiously boxing donuts on the line.

    There is something to be said for "frozen in time" for "Still", but I don't think that particular concept was captured here. If going for the donut theme...what about a 'frozen shot' of a donut coming up from the glaze and still dripping?

    Agree with the pp's. I don't think stillness when I see donuts - maybe because they don't stay still long in my house.:D
