After a few Martinis

(Shot in Alba restaurant in Quincy, MA. It is a 4 second exposure with a rear-curtain slowsync flash. I zoomed out during the exposure).

Thanks!

It's a cool shot, Anton. I just wish that the light streak didn't eat into her forehead on the upper left. But I looked at it a long time before it started to bother me, so maybe it doesn't matter.

    Cheers,

I like it. Very cool effect. I like it more because it was done in camera. Were it a PS conction, I don't think I'd care for it as much.

Thsi is very interesting. It is a picture you would like to stare at for awhile.
Good job, because those pictures are hard to come by.

Excellent shot, very artistic; and thank you for sharing the technique too. I know we have a special forum for that but it helps to read how it was done for these more tricky photos as we view them.

    Thanks!

The most tricky part was to keep her face in the center spot. While the pic is taken, for those 4 seconds you can't see through the viewfinder (still, my eye was on it to prevent light leaking in through it). I wanted to keep her face in the center because i was zooming-out. If her face were not centered, it would have been much less sharp.

I did a little post processing to make it a bit more 'harsh' (more contrast) and set the white-balance in such a way that makes the background quite reddish.
