popular photos off?

I know I have popular photos turned off in my javascript like this:

displaySmugPopular = false;

but sometimes I still find new popular photos in my popular photo gallery.

are they from when you had popular photos on? In your business, I'm wondering why you wouldn't embrace the popular photos, visitors coming to your glamour site would see what others really liked!

nope--
There ARE a couple of pics in my popular photo gallery from the week I tried out popular photos. But occassionally (well, twice now) a new photo shows up-- there was one in there yesterday that hadn't been there before. No big deal, just wanted to make sure the javascript overide hadn't changed.

Andy, obviously there are other threads describing the pros and cons of popular photos-- but for me-- I just feel it cheapens my work when anonymous people can give a thumbs up or down. At this point, I'm trying to shoot more for clients than to be popular. Besides, isn't that what the shopping cart is for? If someone likes the photos, they can vote with their wallet!
