After struggling to attract the hummers, my wife's feeder finally attracted them. Therefore, I present to you my first ever captures of hummers!

Congrats with your first captures of hummers.

Some pictures need IMO some more isolation of the bird thus more focal length / zoom. 6, 7, 8 and nine could benefit of some fill-flash. Overall...well done.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dick. I agree on the fill-flash. I upped the exposure time so much that the aperture was not open that long cutting down the light drastically. I might do some more post-processing to get it brighter. My focal length was at max at many of the shots but since my longest length is 200mm that is all the reach I could get. When I did get closer, I was just so happy to be able to take the shot I sometimes forgot to zoom in even more. I am going to try to perfect the hummer shot. I hope I can keep these guys around. Thanks for the C&C.

Thanks Awais. I did some post processing on those that needed a fill-flash. They look a bit brighter now.

#6 is very nice BIF of the hummer - makes me want to try my hand at it.

My favorite is #10 - the light is just so sweet. Too bad more of his/her green color isn't showing though.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Scott. I like number 10 as well. Number six did turn out well if not a little dark. I have lightened that one up though with PS. Thanks again.

Thanks ric. I feel like setting up some outdoor lights to give me some more light on these guys. They tend to come around at dusk.

Thanks Harry. I hope to be able to get some more shots but so far, the hummers have been very camera shy since the last day I was able to capture them. :cry Hopefully I can get some more soon.
