High Key Hank

I really like high key, and baby's who are not yet mobile. So I wanted to show off this shot of baby Hank a bit. He was only 8 weeks old here. He had the perfect expression and looked right at the camera with giant eyes. Yes, I do see the blown highlights on the side of his face, but I still like it. That was acually done in the processing. And as I learn, I sometimes just get carried away and don't notice until later. You should see my first attempt at skin retouching with my 1 year old daughter. She looked like a plastic baby on my first attempt, but she was flawless.:rofl

Does anyone have a trick for lighting a baby/toddler "on the move". My fix so far has been to have someone chase them with the softbox. Either that or I have to learn to Photoshop out duct tape.

    Wonderful shot... I wish his left hand wasn't cut off at the bottom, but that's just a minor nit. Love the high key, his eyes really pop.

    Good luck on lighting a toddler! They move too fast.
